A Personal Best for a Trout!

I like to put in work to get to spots that are difficult to fish in, less people around, more time and space for me to catch bigger and better fish. This Tiger Trout is the perfect example. After a long intense hike down a mountain and some boulder hopping in Ohio Pyle State park, Pennsylvania, it started off as a great day for catching trout! My brother and I both were catching some decent rainbow trout right off the bat. After a couple of hours of throwing various Rapala's into the Youghiogheny River rapids near Ohio Pyle this beauty of a trout bit my Rapala.

This was a rare catch in this area, I have caught a few Tiger Trout in my years of fishing but not one of this size and beauty in a public waterway that is heavily fished. We typically catch and release so this trout was able to continue on to live and grow!
